Senior Minister

Ron Lawrence
 
Ron joined the staff at JCC in August of 2018. He is originally from Virginia Beach, VA and is a 2015 graduate of Mid-Atlantic Christian University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Bible & Ministry. Ron has been married to his wife Alison since 2015. Ron previously  served a 6 year Church ministry in Hertford, NC. 

 

 

Discipleship Minister

Tom Hunt
 
Tom  joined the staff at Jarvisburg Church of Christ in January 2007 as the part-time Discipleship Minister.  He is  a 1975 graduate of Johnson Bible College and he was involved in the full time preaching ministry for thirty years, serving churches in NC, TN, and VA before retiring in 2005.  He has served on the Board of Directors for Central India Christian Mission for over twenty years including one year as part-time Associate Director of Development following his retirement.
Tom and his wife, Mary, have been married for fifty-five years.  They have three adult children and seven grandchildren.

 

 

Administrative Secretary

Paige Lewis
 
Paige joined the JCC staff as secretary in 2015. She graduated from Meredith College in 1982 and earned her M.A. Ed. from East Carolina University in 1989. She is responsible for managing the church office, and she also works as Academic Dean for Jarvisburg Christian Academy. She and her husband, Rob, have two adult children and three grandchildren.  Paige has been with JCC since 2002.

Carl Davis
 
Carl moved to Currituck in 1978 and made Jarvisburg Chruch of Christ his home church in 1979.
He was ordained an elder in
Carl has taught different Bible study classes throughout the years.
His passion is to encourage those in Christ and lead those outside of God’s grace to a life in Christ.

Doug Styons
 
Doug  grew up in Elizabeth City and has been a land surveyor in nearby Kill Devil Hills since May of 1981 and  president of Styons Surveying Services, PA since Jan 1990. He and his wife Mikki live in Kill Devil Hills and have two children, Harris and Lea.
He says, after witnessing the special things at Jarvisburg Church of Christ, it was very easy for he and his family to want to be a part of what they saw.  Mikki is active in the children’s ministry and he will tell you that becoming an elder here was about the proudest event in his life and takes the responsibility very serious. They have been members since Feb. 2011.
