Senior Minister Ron Lawrence    

 

 

Ron joined the staff at JCC in August of 2018. He is originally from Virginia Beach, VA and is a 2015 graduate of Mid-Atlantic Christian University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Bible & Ministry. Ron has been married to his wife Alison since 2015. Ron previously served a 6 year preaching ministry in Hertford, NC. 

Discipleship  Minister

Tom Hunt
 
Tom  joined the staff at JCC in January 2007 as the part-time Discipleship Minister.  He is  a 1975 graduate of Johnson Bible College and he was involved in the full time preaching ministry for thirty years, serving churches in NC, TN, and VA before retiring in 2005.  He has served on the Board of Directors for Central India Christian Mission for over twenty years.
Tom and his wife, Mary, have been married for fifty-five years.  They have three adult children and seven grandchildren.

John Cooper
 
John has volunteered as our youth and student minister for several years and has a great passion for the next generation of believers. John and his wife Elissa have four children. John owns a local construction business, Cooper Quality Construction, INC. 

Administrative Secretary

Paige Lewis
 
Paige joined the JCC staff as secretary in 2015. She graduated from Meredith College in 1982 and earned her M.A. Ed. from East Carolina University in 1989. She is responsible for managing the church office, and she also works as Academic Dean for Jarvisburg Christian Academy. She and her husband, Rob, have two adult children and three grandchildren.  Paige has been with JCC since 2002.

Caroline Britton
 
Caroline grew up in Manteo, NC and went on to graduate from East Carolina University in 2005. She married her husband Jonathan and moved to Jarvisburg in 2007. Together they have 2 amazing kids and own their own local business. 

Elder

Gene Berry
 
Originally from Elizabeth City, NC, Gene serves not only as an Elder at JCC but also as our interim Worship Leader and grounds keeper.  He married his wife Mary, who serves in the Children’s Ministry, in 1981. Their daughter Megan also serves at JCC in the A/V booth. Gene has been putting up drywall for over 30 years with his company  Outer Barrier Construction.

Carl moved to Currituck in 1978 and made Jarvisburg Church of Christ his home church in 1979. Carl has taught different Bible study classes throughout the years.
His passion is to encourage those in Christ and lead those outside of God’s grace to a life in Christ.

Anthony Canter
 
Anthony is originally from Ohio and met his wife Chris (originally from Virginia) while in the Bahamas on vacation and it was love at first sight. Shortly after they met, they were married in 1996 and lived in Ohio until 2014 when they moved to Jarvisburg, NC. “We were led by God to relocate to Currituck NC and were welcomed into the Jarvisburg Church of Christ the first time we attended service.” They joined the church in February of 2016 and lead the Food Pantry and Technology ministries.

Jonathan Britton
 
Jonathan was born in Wisconsin in a farming family- youngest of 4 siblings- moved to Manteo at the age of 8 & was raised there. He Graduated from Wake Tech in 1999 & now is the owner/ operator of Shoreline Outdoor Power Center in Grandy, NC. Married Caroline Britton in 2007 and have 2 kids.

Mike Folds
 
Mike grew up in Northeastern Indiana where he married his wife, Kim, in 2000. 10 years and 2 children later the couple moved to the Outer Banks where Mike has served as a paramedic for Dare County EMS. Mike and his family are heavily involved in the theater arts and especially find joy in praising God through song and theater. Mike became an academically ordained deacon in 2019 through the Christian Leaders Institute and is currently pursuing a degree in Divinity with Christian Leaders College.
